French-with-Art leads group classes and events at local museums and online. During our programs, you practice both your speaking and listening skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Our small class sizes promote interactivity and communication while unfolding around our unique perceptual-art methods.

What are the advantages of combining French language learning and art?

Engaging with art provides a visual and perceptual support that helps you expand and solidify your vocabulary while also practicing your speaking and listening skills.

What else am I gaining by engaging with art while learning french?

Our art engagement methods also serves to ease the memorization of new vocabulary. Additionally, interactivity with art provides you with tools to expand your art appreciation and perceptual potential.

How does it work?

Our programs are centered around small groups that meet live online or at local museums. Limited group sizes allow for all to participate. Our groups are instructor-led with guided questions that help participants make use of new vocabulary while exploring art in novel and interactive ways.

Do I need an art background?

An art background is welcome but not necessary at all. Our classes are designed for groups both experienced and new to art.

What kind of art do you show?

We show a diverse range of works from figurative to abstract and old masters to modern. While there is a strong emphasis on French art, we also show art from other countries and cultures.

What French levels do you work with?

While many of our students tend to be intermediate to advanced, we also have classes for beginners. Additionally, we welcome, too, fluent French speakers to our advanced classes and events.
