Our standard class is structured around
4 sessions of 1 hour each. We keep our class size small to ensure interactivity. Classes take place monthly. You receive a vocabulary list prior to each class and a list of the artworks viewed afterwards.

Each session is based on a specific art theme, which serves to direct our conversations and our art looking.

During our classes, you:

What They’re Saying…

Taking French With Art lessons with Anne was a wonderfully enjoyable experience.  She is so knowledgeable about all of the works presented and brings the art alive while gently guiding and motivating us to stay in the target language.  The classes are student centered and Anne gives everyone ample opportunity to speak and express themselves exclusively in French. The fact that Anne keeps the class sizes small, makes the learning and sharing much more engaging.  She supplies her students with vocabulary prior to our meetings and always creates an interesting theme.

French with Art classes are stimulating and fun. Providing students with a vocabulary they can use to react to the artworks, the instructor listens closely to and celebrates each person’s input. Patient and complimentary, a safe haven is created where we are not afraid to make mistakes, as we improve our language skills. I feel that I have greatly developed my observation skills, as I’ve been encouraged to look deeply into each painting.”

If you wish to practice speaking French while at the same time improving your knowledge of art, French-with-Art is the class for you. The instructor is a patient and encouraging facilitator whose small classes ensure that all have an opportunity to participate. She provides relevant vocabulary prior to each class and asks thoughtful questions to encourage interaction. French-with-Art has helped me become more confidant expressing myself in French and has significantly expanded my appreciation of art and its various styles. I would highly recommend it.
